The world is filled with games and those who love playing them. No one can really come between a game and its gamer except their opponents or the internet, of course, if you are playing online. PUBG fever is an ongoing one that is just not ending at any cost. Every day, I see a new friend downloading it to his or her mobile. Let’s face it – the fever would never end! If they are not attracted to PUBG – they would totally have some other game to invest their time in.

So when you or your friends and family is giving a game so much time why not just become a professional gamer? Turn your love for gaming into money because when your job is relative to your interests it isn’t really a job or even a burden. Now how to do that?

Go Professional!

Being a good gamer is never easy, there are hurdles on the way and when you talk about being a pro – whoa, that is a completely new level of determination and energy. Here is a list of things you need to check off when such a thought or want crosses your mind.

  • Make the right choice of a game, you do not need to go about playing a zillion games – just pick one and ace it.
  • Motivation is what would help you get through the long gaming hours. Just remember that you want to show your family that playing games is not a lost cause – they are not spending their money for nothing and plus let’s not forget the fun factor.
  • Practice, practice and practice. You need a calm and cool head for this – so what if you died – go die again in the virtual world until you know how to not die.
  • You need the best gear to help you be efficient. It means you need a good gaming pc, laptop or mobile that would take the heat in given situations and perform well. Pick one wisely.
  • Be a part of the gaming community because it is not always going to be an individual player plot. You would have to team up with people and thus you need to have a good connection with them as well. Build the team spirit within yourself.
  • Once done find a perfect team for you – if you have come across as a serious gamer among your peers there’s a high percentage of a good team finding you themselves but if they don’t – make your own on platforms like MLG.
  • The moment you feel ready to play either in the singles or in teams – it is time for you to enter in a tournament. Since they happen all year round, it will not be difficult for you to get into one. Keep entering and improvising yourself with each local or online one that passes by.
  • Try to find yourself a sponsor because gaming is no longer just a hobby for you now it is your career path. You require good and efficient equipment with constant upgrades. Best way to go about it is a sponsor who would bet on you.

Once you start reading the list, you would know that it is going to be a bumpy ride for you making a name in the lists of pro gamers but what is most important is your internet service. A good internet service, like the ones offered by at&t internet, is the first and most essential part of you becoming a professional gamer. You can in no way be a part of a game with a pathetic internet connection that buffers too long and speeds to low. This would jeopardize your game as well the dream to be a pro gamer. Moreover, your team members would have issues trusting you in important positions. Whether you are just practicing or actually playing an online tournament – the most important thing you need is a good ISP to have your back.

How much can you earn?

As per the studied in 2018, a professional gamer can make from about $1000 to around $15000 a month. It depends on your calibre and skills how much you are paid in the gaming world. It does not just stop there – if you make videos … gaming videos … you will be paid for that too. All you need to do is play and record it to put up on YouTube later on. In 2018, Sahil Arora was the highest earning gamer. He’s a pro at Dota 2 and is well-known by his gaming name i.e. Universe, the Dark Seer, the Faceless Void and even Ish’kafel. His total earning till 2018 were US$ 2,720,623. Therefore, if you think gaming has no future or money in it – you are mistaken.
