Create a Blog with Quality Content
This is the first step in your content marketing journey.
You will be building your website with quality content (typically 100+ high quality keywords per post) for SEO.
But is creating 100+ posts a year, months, and weeks an option?
Not with a full-time job and a family to take care of.
When you’re on top of things and are capable of creating hundreds of quality posts per year, you can manage more.
1. Develop your niche or focus
This can be a blog related to your content marketing website, a niche related to your online business, or a separate blog for a variety of topics that are related to your niche.
You can start off with just a few niche topics and grow from there, but I prefer to start off with one topic that I know extremely well.
Build a High Value Backlink Profile
A page that is of low quality usually has bad links pointing at it and it is not able to get back to its previous position, in general, bad content links don’t have a higher ranking in Google because they don’t have many links pointing at them, as a result, Google has a ranking algorithm that can see the quality of the link and considers it as poor, and therefore, it’s not able to raise the PageRank of a page that has the bad links.
However, a good quality website or blog with many quality links pointing at it can be able to change the ranking of a page and after some time, a ranking algorithm can change the PageRank of the page.
For instance, the PageRank of my blog is 1.012 (the higher the PageRank number, the higher the rank of the page).
Create a Social Media Strategy
Update and optimize your site
Link your products
Contact form your customers
Link your website to competitors
Create keywords related to your business
Use data to identify website issues
Showcase your customer/client reviews
Set up a RSS feed of key blog posts
Watch out for SEO mishaps that can hurt your rankings, such as 404 errors. SEO expert John Cullen of IAmNotAn SEO says “Just because your content is 404 doesn’t mean you should delete it. Look for keywords, get back to those keywords, and continue to build the website.”
Always be curious and inquisitive when it comes to your website’s performance. If something is amiss, make an educated assumption, and then get back to your site, like giving it a fresh look.

6 (More) Ridiculous Content Marketing Stories That I Don’t Believe Are True
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.
Most of us wish that search engines made faster decisions, and we love to dream of the future. Unfortunately, today’s crawlers aren’t even smart enough to serve a single page to users. So what can we do?
We can work to increase our organic authority to position our website higher in search engines, but in order to make that happen, you’ll need to make a number of changes to your site.
There are many aspects to consider when making your SEO optimization goals, and one of the most important is your links.
Making Link Extensions
One of the most important aspects of your SEO strategy is links.
Build a Good Website
Be visible on the web by continually publishing relevant content. Make use of the social networks: You should be active on all major social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+, Pinterest, and others.
Don’t rely on only one link building strategy. Because of the difficulties of trying to build and maintain high quality links on the internet, many people recommend going with the most used link building techniques. But if you want to rank really fast, you have to get more in your link building strategy.
To be more specific, as I said earlier, try to use various backlinks in your content. Some backlinks can be valuable, while others won’t give you much of an advantage.
You can take advantage of them when using niche-focused search engine optimization strategies.
