With gold reaching historic levels in recent weeks — including a new high of more than $2,400 an ounce on April 12, according to Yahoo Finance — the interest in the precious metal has remained considerable, according to Kevin DeMeritt, founder and chairman of Los Angeles-based Lear Capital.
Gold’s tendency to weather economic trouble, yet also potentially rise when the economy does, has prompted some investors to include it in their portfolio to offset losses from other items that can be more severely affected by some conditions.
“No one has a crystal ball,” Kevin DeMeritt says. “I can’t tell you when the stock market or home values are going to fall, but it can have a devastating effect. Gold has an inverse relationship to stocks and other types of assets — it typically is going to give your portfolio stability as other assets become more volatile.”
The Demand for Precious Metals
Numerous investors have shared Lear Capital reviews online that mention their individual motivation for buying gold and other metals — and why they chose to purchase the assets from Lear Capital.
Tom F. described his experience working with the company as exceptional.
“The communication with my consultant was educational and informative,” he wrote in a review on Google. “I definitely made the right choice with Lear Capital.”
Fred M. praised the company’s prompt customer service.
“My contact … was expedient but also informative regarding the choices between different silver coins that I would not have been aware of,” he said in one of the Lear Capital reviews posted on the Trustpilot platform. “Everything he set in motion regarding the transit of the necessary order form and payment via FedEx was easily navigated and trouble-free.”
Lon L., too, described working with Lear Capital as a very “smooth and easy transaction.”
“We have been very pleased with the ease and time it takes to complete the purchasing process,” Lon shared in one of the Lear Capital reviews on Trustpilot. “[I] would highly recommend their services!”
In another one of the Lear Capital reviews on Trustpilot, Dave B. said his experience with the precious metal firm differed from purchasing gold from another company.
“[Lear Capital] made the whole process quick and easy,” Dave said. “The difference was quite remarkable. Lear told me from the start how it was going to happen, and that is how it went!”
The Lear representative with whom Charlane F. spoke “explained all available information, and then some which I was not aware of and answered all my questions,” she said in one of the Lear Capital reviews on Google.
“Also, the information I requested was received just moments after our conversation ended,” Charlane said. “I most definitely will be reaching out to Brendan for future purchases.”
Lear Capital helped Eric W. understand what purchasing precious metals would involve.
“I wanted to diversify my portfolio but was hesitant as I did not have much knowledge about the precious metals market,” Eric wrote in a Google review. “Luke at Lear Capital made this investment very easy to understand. [He] made me feel confident that I was doing the right thing.”
