Even if I become the number one, there is an entity that cannot be defeated- Lee Sedol
In 2016, Google’s DeepMind threw down the gauntlet and challenged Go grandmaster Lee Se-dol to a match against their AI wonder, AlphaGo. Go is one of the most complex board games with more possible moves than there are atoms in the universe. Naturally, nobody thought a machine could hack it. But AlphaGo wiped the floor with the guy.
The historic match turned the AI and gaming worlds on their heads. Everyone was talking about the possibilities of artificial intelligence and how it could help us solve real-world problems. Today, AI is making complex decisions faster and more accurately than humans ever could. From cutting costs to accelerating business transformation, there are countless ways AI is making our lives easier every day.

AWS
Amazon is one of the most well-known companies that use AI to manage its business more efficiently. Its recommendation engines play a significant role in helping customers buy products. With continuous AI, Amazon can understand the context and intent behind customer search queries, providing better recommendations to improve the overall customer experience.
Alexa, Amazon’s intelligent speaker, understands and respond to questions and requests. AWS also offers AI services that make it easy to work with your applications by providing recommendations and other features that can help improve your business.
Clearview AI
Clearview AI is a facial recognition tool that can quickly identify a person’s face based on publicly available information. It is one of the most accurate facial recognition tools available. The US government uses AI in immigration and customs enforcement, while businesses like Walmart use Clearview AI to identify theft suspects.
Last year, Clearview AI rallied behind Ukraine to defend itself against the Russian invasion. The AI use cases included reuniting refugees separated from their families, identifying Russian operatives, and assisting the government in debunking false social media posts related to the war. Clearview AI has the highest accuracy rates of any facial recognition algorithm used in the US and was ranked in the top five of every category out of 650 algorithms worldwide.
Clearview AI also helped free a man wrongfully convicted of a drink-driving-related fatality in the US. This case was personal to Ton-That, who was invested in the outcome.
NVIDIA
NVIDIA, founded in 1993, engineers processing units, software, and advanced hardware to power the AI factories of the future. From gaming to virtual reality to automobiles, NVIDIA has enabled millions of enterprises to grow, scale, and innovate with its AI. NVIDIA GPUs deliver low-latency services from the cloud, making things like virtual reality (VR), smart cities, cloud gaming, 360-degree immersive video, and connected drones possible. Leading telecoms use NVIDIA GPUs and CUDA to build optimized AI services for faster speeds and reduced latency. BMW Group uses NVIDIA technology to help with the logistics of the manufacturing process. NVIDIA Clara™ helps developers create AI-enhanced medical imaging applications that can speed up the process of acquiring, processing, analyzing, and reporting medical images.
DeepMind
DeepMind Technologies, a British research laboratory acquired by Google in 2014, is changing the world with its AI. DeepMind collaborated with the Cancer Research UK Centre at Imperial College London to develop AlphaFold for breast cancer diagnosis. DeepMind Health also developed a patient safety alert app that reviews test results for signs of acute injury and sends an alert to the healthcare staff in case of emergencies.
DeepMind’s WaveNet is an AI-based speech synthesis system that can generate realistic and natural-sounding speech. The product has been used in voice assistants and other applications where high-quality speech synthesis is essential.
DeepMind’s AI-based recommendation engine Deep Recommender is used by businesses to provide personalized product recommendations. It has been used in e-commerce platforms and other online services to improve the customer experience and increase sales.
Baidu
Baidu Inc is one of the largest providers of Chinese language Internet services. Dubbed China’s Google, Baidu is known for being one of the leading organizations investing in R&D, with applications in the healthcare sector, autonomous vehicles, NLP, and facial recognition capabilities. Baidu has developed an AI-powered virtual assistant called Duer, which uses natural language processing to understand and respond to user queries. The company is also developing self-driving car technology and testing autonomous vehicles on public roads in China and the United States.
Baidu has built AI Libraries, which help students learn using DuerOS-powered conversational AI technologies, and AI Dormitories, which make students’ living environment easier.
