Umrah travel is something that is opted for not that often. Usually, pilgrims from across the globe travel with Umrah packages and arrive in the region for the first time. Therefore, it is quite common for people to forget about the rituals as well as being unprepared for the journey remains a common thing.
When it comes to packing for the holy trip, one might get confused about what to take along and what to leave. Therefore, here is a brief description of the items that women should pack for Umrah.

-
Ihram.
It is recommended that female pilgrims pack two sets of clothing for their Ihram specifically. They must be stitched because women are not allowed to wear unstitched clothes for their Ihram. Additionally, the clothing you are using for your ihram must remain simple, modest, and loose fit.
Choose a lightweight and breathable fabric for which usually cotton blended or linen is the best option keeping in view the weather conditions of Makkah. However, make sure that it must be thick enough that it does not reveal any part of your body or undergarments under bright sunlight.
Also, pack multiple Abayas and clothes that you are planning to wear on a daily basis (outside of Ihram).
-
Headscarves.
Since the head of female pilgrims must remain covered at all times, they are advised to pack an ample supply of headscarves or hijabs with sufficient under-scarf caps as well. As long as the fabric is concerned, it must be lightweight.
Note that it is recommended for women to wear hijabs that are simple and normal looking i.e., avoid making extravagant styles with your hijab during your Umrah journey.
